Well, ok, it was my fault. So it was very STUPID of me to go 110% my first day back at the gym/lifting. Partially I kinda wanted to show off at my new gym (lol) and also the Bob Marley&Skrillex mix I listened to before working out just brought out the beast in me. All in all, pretty dumb move. For 2 whole days I couldn’t even straighten out my arms because my muscles were too inflamed. I didn’t even ice and continued to go to the gym. Good thing I stopped being stupid yesterday and actually did something right for my muscles (icing/stretching). I now have a great appreciation for arm extension. Yeahhh.
My new lifting schedule! :) A big thank you to Matthew, my boyfriend, for helping me make this ;)
Things might change around as I start using it, so I’ll update it if that happens.
*UPDATE: (1/14/12) - I’ve decided that Thursdays work best as a rest day for me, and I’ve made Sundays a second legs day. This is only because I really need to work on growing my legs and Olympic day at the moment is just practicing form. It’s still hard, but I haven’t been feeling sore the next day…I’m craving sore muscles. Haha :)
So this is what I’m doing for workouts now plus cardio. Sore muscles, good stuff!
Hi guys,
I haven’t been on for a while. You know sometimes life just takes over everything. For the past several months, I’ve been busy preparing my moving process… and finally a couple of weeks ago I moved out here to the Philippines. Long story short I spent most of my time with my friends and boyfriend while cleaning out every part of my life in Buffalo, NY.
Anyway, during those months I did attempt eating clean and working out on and off. I did BIKRAM (one of my goals) and it was amazing. It took a little push from the migraine department but it was an amazing experience. I’ve also started some HIIT training coupled with lifting for a while. Nothing long term. And now, I’m trying to get back into the groove.
I’m a little bit sick from the weather change and my arm is pretty sore from a tetanus vaccine but I’ll push through. Now my challenge is not only to be fit but to do it while in MEDICAL SCHOOL! Also, fitting in to the new culture and finding friends. But you know what all of this can be done. I’m optimistic and I’ll work very hard. It’s always nice to have a little support as well ;)
LET’S DO THIS!
