My New Found Love for…
Vancouver, Grilled Paninies, & the Outdoors! ♥
So it’s been about one week since I’ve landed back in Toronto, and not a word of a lie – I still feel homesick. For those of you who were unaware of my disappearance, I had decided to join a few friends and my boyfriend on a trip to Vancouver. Without a doubt I can honestly say this place felt like home. The atmosphere, the lifestyle, the scenery – simply everything about this place was amazing. From what I’ve experienced, Vancouver is easily one of the best and most beautiful trips you can and should take. There are no words to explain how much I enjoyed every bit of it!
For those of you who plan on visiting make sure you:
- Bike all day long around the city & throughout Stanley Park
- Do yoga in the Park!
- Hike up Grouse Mountain! (… and eat a grilled Panini once you reach the top)
- Walk across the Capilano Suspension Bridge
- Take the Sea to Sky Hwy to Whistler
- Go boating around Horseshoe Bay
- Visit Gastown for its little boutiques & shops
- Enjoy the beautiful scenery!
Wow, I have not been on recently but I’m so busy with life. Basically my days are filled with work, eat, breathe, bikram, and sleep 5/7 days a week. So there it is, I have not completely stopped working out. I have found a new love with hot yoga, my appetite has increased exponentially, and I’m not sickly anymore! Life is grand :)
I was trying to find another job but I talked to my dad and he thought there was no point (I’m trying to save money though) Anyway, I think he’s just concerned for my health since I get sick easily! <3
I’ve signed up for a one month unlimited yoga at Evolation. Today was my first day and threaded cautiously by taking a class in a 90 degree room. Overall, it kicked my butt. There was a point in the middle of the class where I stood up, my vision hazed, and I felt nauseated. So I took several minutes sitting and relaxing my body. What can I expect from a month of inactivity and constant battle with sickness. It’s always something new every week. What finally made me want to return to yoga are these daily headaches I’ve been having. Horrible… although yoga didn’t stop them, I will continue my practice. Tomorrow I’m thinking of Yoga Nidra then non-traditional Bikram. Hopefully all will go well!

So many rest days this week but I’m getting increasingly busy so I don’t have as much time. Hopefully I am able to cope with this change of pace. My friend and I are going to do hot yoga this week! I can’t wait! Also I had my car fixed, I’m so happy but my credit card was obviously abused. Oh wells, what can you do… safety is importante! :)

Tuesday: Yoga X

Very crazy week since I finally came back home to New York. I ate out lots of times with friends. So I definitely splurged some days but it’s once in a while and worth it! Did so many things I haven’t done in a while like tennis. I actually miss tennis! Anyways Sunday was the highlight of my week. I planned this adventurous date with my bf (for his bday gift since I wasn’t here :[) even though I’m scared of heights. Surprisingly I got through it with minimum amount of fear. I got used to it, being in a harness definitely helps! Anyways my bf loved it and so did I, only downside is the long wait since there were so many people! Oh yeah there was a point it started raining hard and I was crossing this long plank bridge with no rails over a creek, I felt like I was in the Amazon rain forest. Scary yet awesome at the same time! You guys should try it if you have the chance! Worth every penny :)
